Forest Service Working For POWDR, Not The Public, Agency Emails Show

FOIA

Freedom of Information Act

Recently, Save Holland Lake received a “FOIA dump” from months of submitting FOIA requests for internal communications between the Flathead National Forest (FNF), POWDR, and Holland Lake Lodge (HLL). Members of Save Holland Lake have catalogued and analyzed the information, and invite you to read our updated and annotated analysis below with links to specific emails. We also are making the FOIA files publicly available to you. There are many. We have organized the files by date (Year, Month, Day) to make them easier to navigate. For example, today is 230223—February 23, 2023. You can find the link to the FOIA files below our annotated analysis.

Save Holland Lake

Save Holland Lake is an ad-hoc coalition of concerned citizens fighting to protect Montana’s  natural treasures – Holland Lake and the Seeley-Swan Valley – from industrial tourism and a U.S. Forest Service/Utah ski developer’s proposal to triple the size of Holland Lake Lodge on our public land.
